National Hold the Door Day - Friday, October 16, 2009
The MIAA Student Advisory Committee has come up with the idea for a "National Hold the Door Day." The goal of this day is to get everyone to help other people out and have a positive impact in their schools and communities. All that is required is the simple and polite gesture of holding the door an extra few seconds for someone behind you. It is something little that can make a big difference. Please spread the word about this day to your school and community. We have created a flyer that you can hang in your school (click here for the flyer) and have also created a "National Hold the Door Day" Facebook group that you can join and invite others as well. People from across the country are getting involved and supporting the idea. Please help spread the word and make a difference on October 16th.
