Committees Ad Hoc Summer Institute Planning Group

Summer Institute Committee Roles and Responsibilities

  • Attend three Summer Institute Planning Committee Meetings per year. (Fall, Winter, Spring)
  • Provide input and advise to MSSAA Executive Staff with regard to Summer Institute program and focus, program design, pre-conference professional development programs, conference themes
  • Approve marketing plan, materials and process, guest speakers, vendors, sponsors, social events and gifts for members and their guests, business recognition programs for Association members.
  • Evaluate Summer Institute re: participant evaluations, attendance, finances, facility, program quality and participant overall conference experience
  • Conduct Orientation for first-time attendees and serve as hosts to members during the conference and social events
  • Serve as hosts for Concurrent Sessions
  • Provide input to MSSAA Executive Staff regarding site selection and accommodations for attendees and their guests
