Posted: October 15, 2024

William Goldstein shot a 3-over-par 75 on the Stow Acres Country Club course and led a dominating performance by Weston High School to capture the 2024 Division 3 North Golf Championship.

Tom Lamb (78) also played a big role for the Wildcats, finishing 3 strokes back of Goldstein and Gray West of Manchester Essex Regional, who also shot a 75. Teddy Dreyer and Beckett Huber rounded out the team scoring for Weston, each shooting 8-over 80 to finish as part of a three-way tie for sixth place individually.

The sectional championship was the third in a row for Weston, which also is the two-time defending Division 3 state champion and will try to add to that run in the Division 3 State Championships on Monday, October 21 at Foxborough Country Club. North Reading High School finished second as a team (+50) and Manchester Essex was third (+54).

Paddy Brown of Minuteman Regional also shot 78 to share third place with Lamb, and Jason Curran of North Reading High School was another stroke back in fifth (79, +7). Vincent Magee of Triton Regional matched Dreyer and Huber with his 8-over 80.
