Sanctioned Events

NFHS Sanctioning Criteria

  1. Any interstate or international event involving 2 or more schools which is co-sponsored by or titled in the name of an organization outside the high school community.
  2. Events in non-bordering states if 5 or more states are involved, and at least one (1) of which does not border the host state.
  3. Events in non-bordering states if more than 8 schools are involved.
  4. Any event involving 2 or more schools that involves a team from a foreign country, except for two (2) school or three (3) school competition with a school or schools from Canada.

Sanctioning Information

MIAA Sanctioning Form - Multiple School Event Form

Form required for events involving 8 or more MIAA member schools. (Form must be completed by the host school administration)

*** Please do not use this form for events that include schools from another state. Such events require the application for sanction of bordering state athletic event form found below.
