MIAA Spring Golf Championship: North Reading's Isabel Brozena shines; Wachusett takes first

SOUTH HADLEY -- Isabel Brozena, a senior at North Reading HS, shot a 6-under-par 66 to cruise to the 2024 MIAA Spring Golf Championship held June 3 at Ledges Golf Club.

Wachusett Regional captured its first team championship with a four-player total of 368.

Brozena, who also won the individual championship in 2022, is the seventh player to win multiple titles in the history of the Spring tournament dating to 1990. She finished 6 shots ahead of Lillian Gulesarian (Westwood HS) and Mya Murphy (Sturgis Charter School West), who tied for second place at even par on the par-72 course. 

2024 MIAA Spring Golf Championship results   

Wachusett was led by top-four scorers Lily Staiti, Somer Staiti, Lily Sprister and Emma Quinn in finishing 3 shots ahead of runner-up Wellesley HS (371). Walpole HS and Notre Dame Academy tied for third at 389.
