
Mixed Gender Wrestling Divisional Championships: Shawsheen, Milford, Tewksbury Go 1-2-3
The 2025 MIAA Mixed Gender Wrestling Championships were held Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22. Division 1 was contested at North Andover High School, Division 2 at Salem High School, and Division 3 at Foxborough High School.
Division 1
Shawsheen Tech got individual championships from Dante Giusti (120 lbs.), Sidney Tildsley (138) and James Tildsley (150), and just enough points throughout the rest of the lineup to squeeze to the championship. The Rams finished with 160 points, just ahead of runner-up Central Catholic High School (157.5), with Saint John’s Preparatory School in third (129).
Giusti won an 11-3 major decision over Cale Wood of Haverhill High School in the 120 final. Sidney Tildsley took a forfeit win at 138, and James Tildsley prevailed in a technical fall (3:23) over Troy Greaney of Leominster High School.
Central Catholic and St. John’s Prep each had a pair of individual winners. Cole Glynn of Central Catholic won the 113-pound title with a fall (3:06) over Anthony Bojorquez of New Bedford High School, while Glynn’s Raiders teammate Caden Smith won at 157, beating Michael Canada of Chelmsford High School (4-2 decision).
The winners for St. John’s Prep were Braedon Goes at 126 (5-4 decision over Nathan Sayers, Xaverian Brothers High School) and James Lally at 144 (13-4 major decision over Dan Greaney of Leominster).

- Elijah Prophete, Taunton High School (6-4 decision over Caden Chase, Central Catholic)
- Matt Harrold, Haverhill, 215 (F, 2:50 over Jackson Meehan, Central Catholic)
- Thomas Brown, Chelmsford, 285 (13-7 decision over Alex Bajoras, St. John’s Prep)
Division 2
Milford High School took gold in three weight classes and silver in four more, finishing with 177.5 points at Salem High School.
Derek Marcolini took the 126-pound division for the Scarlet Hawks, with a technical fall (4:36) over Alex Javier of Somerset Berkley Regional. At 144, Aidan Baum added a technical fall win (5:55) over William Merkle of Reading Memorial, and Michael Boulanger prevailed at 157 with a fall (1:01) over Marco Albanese of Melrose High School.
Bridgewater-Raynham Regional took second place as a team (154) and was the only other school with more than one winner. Pacing the Trojans were Brent von Magnus at 138 (F, 2:41 over Josiah Carney of Milford) and Fletcher Rinke at 190 (6-3 decision over Luke Donis of Milford).

- Max Holloway, Agawam High School, 2:15 (6-2 decision over Logan Hauck, Whittier Tech)
- Jack Disharoon, Tri-County Regional, 285 (F, 2:44 over John Bermudez, Minnechaug)
Division 3
With three individual champions and three others in the top eight, Tewksbury Memorial High School did just enough to squeeze past Wakefield Memorial High School for the team title. The Redmen finished with 116.5 points, a narrow margin over Wakefield’s 113.
Jack Lightfoot got things started for Tewksbury at 113, beating Diego Cruz of Mount Everett Regional (7-2 decision). Nick Desisto then followed immediately at 120, toppling Jisup Shin of Weston High School (15-3 major decision). The Redmen capped the victory as Manny Mengata won at 215 pounds, an 8-6 decision over Max Thomas of Gloucester High School.
Wakefield had a pair of wins from Aydin Lamb at 132 (F, 3:26 over Manuel Garcia of Dedham High School) and Kip King at 285 (4-1 decision over Dillon Laffond of Franklin County Tech).
Ashland, which finished fourth (92) behind Bristol-Plymouth Regional (95.5), had the only other double winners with Logan Costello at 106 (TF, 3:40 over Abduli Gilmore of Mahar Regional) and Adrian Guzman at 157 (TF, 5:39 over Sean Callanan of Wakefield). Bristol-Plymouth got its win from Nate Hicks at 165 (9-0 major decision over Liam Holden of Scituate High School).
Other Division 3 individual champions were:
