Northbridge High School Student Receives MIAA Student-Athlete of the Month Award for April 2024

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association is proud to announce that Ryan Bedigian of Northbridge High School is the recipient of its Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2024.

Ryan is not just a talented athlete, but an exceptional student and a pillar of his community. Nominated for Student-Athlete of the Month by Coach Keith Verra, Ryan boasts an impressive academic record with a GPA of 4.55.

His achievements extend beyond the classroom. He's a National Honor Society member, recognized for his mathematical prowess with the Math Medal Award and earning Member of the Month honors in October. Ryan's dedication goes further with his involvement in DECA and the World Language Honor Society.

But Ryan's talents shine on the field as well. A versatile athlete, he's participated in baseball, golf, indoor track and field, and even the ski club. His dedication to his team is evident – he was named Baseball Teammate of the Year as a junior and continues to excel for the Rams this season.

Ryan's commitment extends beyond school. He volunteers in Northbridge youth sports programs and actively participates in his church. He mentors ninth graders at NHS and even tested water safety in his town. A true leader, he inspires both his peers and the wider community.

Coach Verra couldn't have said it better: "Ryan is the hardest working player on the baseball team. His selfless and team-first attitude has earned him the respect of his teammates. I can't think of a more deserving person to be named Student-Athlete of the Month."
