Hanover High School Student Receives MIAA Student-Athlete of the Month Award October 2023

Katelyn Farrell – Hanover High School

Katelyn is a three-sport athlete for the Hawks, playing Soccer and participating in Indoor and Outdoor Track. As a student, Katelyn excels with an overall GPA of 4.8 while taking 4 Advanced Placement classes and 2 Honors-level classes her senior year. She had the distinction of getting the highest GPA for all student-athletes at Hanover High School this Fall. Katelyn was the stopper on Hanover's Division 3 State Finalist team as she regularly marked the opposing team’s primary scorer. She is a first time Patriot League All Star, but partially due to a vision impairment that was only surgically corrected last fall. She is also Hanover's Patriot League Scholar-Athlete recipient for the Fall of 2023.

Outside of the classroom, Katelyn is a tremendous leader in our school community. During Hanover’s Spirit Week she was an integral component in planning and managing the rally. On Thanksgiving morning, Katelyn volunteered at Hanover's Turkey Trot 5K for the second consecutive year. Prior to the start of the school year, Katelyn was selected to lead incoming students on tours during Freshman Orientation.
